Halifamous was a dope halifax, n.s. They played a set in Toronto for the Exclaim mag anniversary party and i just found the tape.
Remember it’s ripped from cassette so don’t expect hdtv or blu ray or whatever the fuck it is you kids listen to these days.

part of toronto’s ‘monolith’ crew, irs (pronounced like “urse,” not “eye-are-ess”), are the trio of kory deez, black kat, and dj t.r.a.c.k.s. universal music and cmw (canadian music week) had (have?) a contest for cmw every year, where universal chooses the best live performer, and releases a cd for them. that year, i caught irs live for the first time, and was blown away by their energy on stage. with the rest of our a&r department (allan reid, dave porter, shawn marino, susan brearton, ted seto, david “click” cox), we ended up choosing irs and releasing this album. a solid record, start to finish.
