Skratch Bastid is one of my favorite DJs ever. And he’s from the mean streets of Bedford, Nova Scotia as well so that make him a perfect candidate for this blog!
I remember seeing him waaaay back in the day in what was his first DJ contest in Halifax. His name was DJ Paul and i cheered for him all night cause i thought the name was incredible. Fast forward to the present day and he’s one of the busiest and best in the country, now based out of Toronto.
Back in 2003 he released this promo mixCD with tracks from everyone from the Beatnuts to Edan, some juggling routines and exclusive verses from Nathan Cruise, CEE!!!!!!!! Kunga 219 and others. Play it in your automobile.
For really real… if this man is playing in your town… go! He knows how to keep the party flowing like few do. And he may come to your house after and fake DJ on your dinnerware!
