My boy Kaleb Simmonds is the truth. Beatboxing singer from Nova Scotia and
Top 6 on the initial run of Canadian Idol (last Black man left standing). I
think he’s in Toronto working on a new album all produced by 2Rude right
now. But this is his true debut - recorded on a 2 track karaoke machine a
real long time ago when shit was simpler. Back when I could smoke mad weed
and still get shit done. Back before there were even hipsters. Tachichi says
he wrote the lyrics to this here. All I know is that this shit is murder. If
you youtube Kaleb you can find him killing the “Jungle Book Theme” too (just
don’t ask me about “Welcome To Paradise”). One day we’ll up his “The Race”
ep too - that shit slays everything dead.

not sure if you knew that.
it doesn’t say anywhere on this site that the only shit to be posted is old, unattainable and obscure music. ideally, we’ll focus more in that direction, but i’m not opposed to having some more recent stuff posted up here on occasion, to balance things out. me, personally, i’ve got about 300 canadian rap cds and three crates of canadian rap vinyl. it ranges from old school shit to obscure shit nobody’s ever heard of to rare collectible shit to shit that came out yesterday. eventually, i’ll up it all. do i like all of it? no. will i up it anyway? yes.

thanks for checking the site. and thanks for wanting to contribute to it. a site like this is only as good as the people who read, comment, and contribute to it on a regular basis. otherwise everyone loses interest and it dies. (it will do that eventually, but i’d like to keep it alive and exciting for as long as possible, or, at least until i’ve uploaded my entire can-con rap collection on here to share with the world.)
